With the support and encouragement from Nan Chalat-Noaker, the Park Record Newspaper editor, I put together a few multimedia features:
In 2007, photographer Sarah Aussi and I put together a Soundslide about a donation-based yoga studio that hosts a class for mothers and their babies: Yoga Babies
Here’s one the Park Record launched in 2008. I made it in collaboration with Dori Pratt, a Park City resident who moved to the area as a young girl in the 1960s: Park City: Then and Now
New to town, Dori’s father, an artist, took photographs of blighted miners’ cottages, municipal buildings and freshly minted ski chalets, at a time of transition for Park City. Forty years later, during a very lucrative era for real estate developers, Dori took her own camera and returned to the same places her father had documented. Juxtaposed, I think the Pratt family photos, then and now, give you a sense of what it means to be a western boom-and-bust kind of a town.
Here’s another we launched in 2008 that I put together with photographer Scott Sine: Dog Sled Race
